I ♥ Chanel

Isn't this bag so supercalifragistylish? I love pink and I love the classic look of Chanel 2.55. It's perfect! It's very feminine and classic. This is definitely one of the "it" bags a stylish girl must own. Speaking of bags, here are some of the bags that I would really really (repeat 100x) want to have. Well, I can't afford it at the moment but I swear I'm gonna save up for these babies and buy them all (well not exactly all..) before I get married haha!

1. Chanel 2.55 in black and of course pink.

2. LV Speedy - hopefully before the end of the year I'll have my first ever LV bag.

3. Hermès Birkin in black or red - color negotiable because it's so impractical to have two dyusko!

Hilarious Hats

Oh my. These bags... err... hats, were launched last week in New York Fashion Week as part of Isaac Mizrahi's 2009 Fall Collection. Yay or nay? Definitely nay. He could've executed his idea in a different way. These hats really look ridiculous. It would definitely make the person who would wear it a laughing-stock. Ugh. Do you agree or do you agree? Agree!

The Basic Items a Woman's Closet Must Have

Have you ever experienced buying the "it" garment of the season then two months later you find that piece of garment tucked on the deepest and the darkest (oohh creepy) part of your closet? And you can't wear it again because it's so outdated and unfashyon already? Oh I did. A lot of times. I remember when I bought those super colorful denim jeans last year and now I'm like, oh no no, I won't wear those pants evar! Those rainbow-colored pants used to be the in thing last year. It's everywhere! Literally. From the people walking in malls, to the artistas dancing on TV, even to the slums! I realized that it's not really wise to splurge on trendy pieces, instead, invest on QUALITY pieces that would definitely give you long mileage. These items won't make you feel guilty months after you buy it. So for those of you supercalifragistylish chicas out there who's in a mission of revamping their entire wardrobe (like me!), here are some basic pieces that we just HAVE to HAVE.

UNDERGARMENTS

1. Brassieres in beige, white, and black. Go for the tweakable bras which you could transform into strapless, razorbacks, etc. Seamless brassieres are also a must.

2. Seamless panties in beige, white, and black. We supercalifragistylish chicas, should avoid unsightly panty lines at all cost. Also invest on white cotton panties that are of good quality. No granny panties please. Granny panties are for grannies.

TOPS

1. Comfortable and nice fitting shirts in black, white, and gray.

2. Button down tops in white and black.

3. Black, white, and gray tank tops/spaghetti tops.

4. Black and white tube tops.

5. Cashmere cardigans in white, black, gray, and *enter favorite color here*.

BOTTOMS

1. A good pair of denim pants that fits you like a glove. Make sure you have one in black, white, gray, and of course the classic blue.

2. Nice fitting pencil skirt. Go for white and black.

3. White and black shorts.

4. Denim skirt. As usual go for white and black.

DRESSES

1. LBD

2. LWD

3. LRD

FOOTWEAR

1. Ballet flats. Have one in black, white, and red. Yes, red.

2. The classic black high-heel pumps.

3. Flip flops in black, white, red, and brown. It's a lazy day necessity.

BAGS

1. A classic shoulder bag. It's nice to have one in black, red, and white.

2. A medium sized bag. For your overnight trips and weekend retreats to the beach.

3. A clutch or a purse.

4. An "IT" bag. It could be an LV Speedy or the classic Chanel quilted bag.

ACCESSORIES

1. An oversize black cocktail ring.

2. A pair of pearl earrings.

3. A pair of diamond studs. If you can't afford one at the moment, Zircon is a good alternative. No one would know the diff. It's all in the way you carry it.

There you go. Basically, these items are the basics. I repeat, the basics. These items would make up the skeleton of your closet. Remember, a good wardrobe starts with a good foundation. Splurge on quality pieces not on trendy ones. Now, what would I do with my rainbow-colored pants.... Hmmm.....

My Dear Tiffany

I recently bought a Tiffany blue Nintendo DS Lite last Valentine's Day. It's actually my gift to myself for working so hard. Anyways, I'm thinking of pimping it up a bit because it looks so plain. I still can't decide whether I would bedazzle it ala Paris or just opt for the regular DS skin. Ugh. Decisions, decisions.

Boyfriends and Bags

Yesterday, while I was in the mall taking my weekly dose of exercise (shopping + walking), I saw this guy carrying his girlfriend's shoulder bag. You know, those mini shoulder bags that women use? Okay, it's kinda hard to explain but THAT is really one of my greatest pet peeves. I just find it so gross and cheap. Ugh. Keerrazzy.

Look! Even the guy in purple looks annoyed with what he just witnessed!

LADIES, NEVER EVER, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, LET YOUR BOYFRIEND CARRY YOUR BAGS IN PUBLIC.

The Little Black Book of Style

Last Valentine's Day, aside from receiving the typical gifts such as flowers and chocolates, my dear boyfriend gave me this book that I've been wanting to read for quite some time already. I'm not the type of person who splurge on books so I'm so happy he gave me one. This book is entitled The Little Black Book of Style by Nina Garcia. FYI, Nina Garcia is the editor-at-large of Elle magazine. She's also one of the formidable judges of Project Runway alongside Michael Kors and Miss Klum.

Well, the book was nice and I learned a lot from it. I'll share some stuff that I learned next time. The only thing I didn't liked about it is that there weren't too much illustrations of real people with real style. I'm a visual person so I prefer pictures all over (kindergarten style?) haha! Nonetheless, I still recommend the book. As a matter of fact, I'm thinking of buying Nina Gasseeya's other book sometime soon. Oh my.
